A drink made for you
Free, curated, poured by hand, by baristas who actually learn your name.
A home [turned] coffee shop · Alberta
Free coffee. Real conversation. A place to belong, open select Saturdays.
How it started
“I don’t always feel connected.”
It started with a simple conversation on a couch. Young adults trying to find real friends. Newcomers looking for a way in. Anyone who’s ever wanted a third place that actually feels like home.

The bold idea
Instead of ignoring that feeling, Roberson and Thaksheela did something bold, they created the space they were longing for. Saturday Café was born from one question: how do we build real community the way the early church did, around food, conversation, and care?
So they turned their home into a coffee shop for the night. Opened the doors. And something beautiful happened.
No pressure. No strings. Just a safe place to gather.
What it is

Free, curated, poured by hand, by baristas who actually learn your name.

Unhurried. Goals, dreams, faith, life. No small talk required, no agenda.

No pressure, no strings, just people genuinely glad you came.
A Saturday, start to finish
No membership, no cover, no awkward sign-in. Just a warm room and a friendly face at the door.
Tell the barista what you’re feeling. They’ll craft it fresh, and yes, it’s on the house.
Find a couch, a corner, a table of new faces. Conversation happens on its own here.
Most people mean to drop by for one drink. Most people leave having made a friend.

The people behind the counter
Every drink is poured by a friend, not an employee. The baristas, the bakers, the ones washing cups at the end of the night, they’re young adults who decided their weekend was better spent making room for someone else.
Hosted by Thaksheela & Roberson Dorelus, who started it all in their living room.
It’s working
Baked goods, café drinks, meeting new people, talking about goals and dreams, and feeling the presence of Jesus, the best combination.
The true richness of this place isn’t in what we serve, it’s in the people who show up.
Proof that people still crave community. I came for the coffee and stayed for the conversation.
Straight from our Saturdays
The true richness isn’t what we serve, it’s the people who show up.
Come as you are. Leave known. That’s the whole thing.
We host in a home, so we keep the address private. RSVP and we’ll text you the details and a warm welcome.
The vision
It was never meant to stay in one living room. If you’ve ever wanted to open your doors, your home, your campus, your church, we’ll help you start one of your own.
Before you come
Yes. Every drink and every treat is on the house. Saturday Café is a gift, not a business, you never pay a cent.
We host in a home in Alberta, so we keep the address private for everyone’s comfort and safety. RSVP and we’ll text you the exact location and the next date.
Not at all. Everyone is welcome exactly as they are. Faith is part of who we are, never a cover charge, come for the coffee, the conversation, or just a place to belong.
Perfect, most people don’t on their first Saturday. Tell us it’s your first time when you RSVP and we’ll make sure you’re welcomed and introduced.
Select Saturdays through the year, and sometimes it travels to a new home. RSVP once and we’ll text you whenever the next one is on.
